The Role: We are seeking a passionate and innovative Design and Technology Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role involves inspiring students in the areas of design, engineering, and technology, and promoting a love for creativity and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Design and Technology.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that meets educational standards and inspires student creativity.
- Encourage students to develop their practical skills and theoretical knowledge in a variety of design and technology disciplines.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles.
- Provide support and guidance to students, helping them achieve their full potential.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting challenging targets.
- Maintain a safe and organized learning environment, ensuring all equipment and materials are used appropriately.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop innovative teaching strategies.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Design and Technology, Education, or a related field.
- Teaching qualification and experience in a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for design and technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest educational trends and technologies.
