A-Level Economics Teacher job for a college in central London

Your new company

Hays Education is supporting a well‑regarded Sixth Form College in West London in the search for an outstanding A-Level Economics Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-achieving academic environment with a strong focus on student success and professional support.
The position will begin on a part‑time, hourly‑paid basis (£30–£50 per hour), with a clear pathway to becoming a full-time, permanent role from September 2026, dependent on performance and departmental requirements.

Your new role

You will deliver engaging, rigorous, and well-structured lessons across A-Level Economics, ensuring students are challenged, motivated, and supported to achieve exceptional results. The ideal candidate will bring both subject expertise and a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning.

What you'll need to succeed

Candidates must have:
  • A good degree from a leading university
  • Strong A-level results (or equivalent academic background)
  • Proven A-level teaching experience
    • Experience within the private/independent sector is preferred but not essential
  • A strong understanding of macroeconomics, microeconomics, and examination requirements
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
We also warmly welcome strong ECT applicants who demonstrate the potential and academic ability to teach A-Level Economics to a high standard.
