Teacher of History – Full or Part-Time Temporary Contract

Location: Cheltenham
Start Date: September 2025 or ASAP
Contract: Full-time or Part-time, Temporary
Pay: M1 (£162/day) to U1 (£234/day) – Paid to Scale

Your new role

You will be joining the Humanities department as a Teacher of History on a full-time or part-time temporary basis, starting in September 2025 or as soon as possible. This role includes full teaching responsibilities, such as:
  • Planning and delivering engaging history lessons
  • Marking and assessment
  • Attending parents’ evenings
  • Participating in school trips and extracurricular activities
  • Becoming an active member of the school community
This is a fantastic opportunity to teach motivated students in a well-resourced and academically focused school.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • UK classroom experience teaching History at secondary level
  • A passion for history and the ability to inspire students
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Availability to commit to the role from September or ASAP
