Teacher of Religious Education (RE) – Part-Time Temporary Contract

Location: Stroud area
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Part-time (Monday to Wednesday), Temporary – Autumn Term (until December)
Pay: Paid to scale M1 - U1

Your new role

You will be joining the Humanities department as a Teacher of Religious Education (RE) on a part-time basis, working Monday to Wednesday from September until December 2025. This is a temporary maternity cover role for the Autumn Term.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Planning and delivering engaging RE lessons across Key Stages
  • Marking and assessing student progress
  • Attending parents’ evenings and contributing to school events
  • Supporting school trips and enrichment activities
  • Becoming an active member of the school community

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you must have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • UK classroom experience teaching Religious Education
  • A passion for your subject and the ability to inspire students
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Availability to work part-time from September through December
