A successful manufacturing group is seeking a talented and business-focussed Financial Controller with experience within the manufacturing sector, to take ownership of product costing, inventory optimisation, statutory & management reporting, financial planning, and play a key role in the drive for continuous process improvement, ERP development, and profitable growth for a market-leading international organisation.
Your new role
The Financial Controller will take full responsibility for financial management, reporting, and compliance across UK and European operations.
Key responsibilities include:

- Product Costing & Margin Analysis – Deliver accurate costing and profitability insights.
- Inventory Optimisation – Manage cost efficiency and supply.
- ERP Implementation – Play a key role in the rollout of a new ERP system.
- Management & Financial Reporting – Provide timely, accurate reporting to Group and local leadership.
- Budgeting & Forecasting – Drive annual planning and performance monitoring.
- Working Capital & Cash Management – Optimise liquidity and financial efficiency.
- Compliance & Governance – Oversee statutory accounts, audits, tax, VAT, and GDPR.
- People Management & Development & Continuous Process Improvement.
- IT & Systems Coordination – Support technology upgrades and process improvements.
- Additional duties include capital ROI analysis, payroll and pensions.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Proven experience in financial leadership within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, ERP systems, and financial reporting standards.
- Ability to influence at all levels and deliver strategic insights.
- A hands-on approach with a focus on process improvement and business performance.
