Financial Controller job opportunity in Glasgow city centre

Due to continued investment, our client, a growing construction business, has a new job opportunity for a Qualified Financial Controller.
Your new role
As Financial Controller you will lead the division, oversee financial reporting and manage the financial operations of the division, in addition to supporting the Group Finance Director, Commercial Director and Managing Director on strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities will include:
- Establishing a group reporting framework including real time KPI reporting, monthly and quarterly Board reporting.
- Monthly Joint Venture financial reporting including variance reporting and progress against KPIs.
- Assist with modelling for potential acquisition targets
- Oversight of suppliers and subcontractors and ongoing monitoring
- Project management of transaction advisors (legal/accounting/tax)
- Support in improvement of process and the evolution of internal modelling/analysis templates
- Compilation and maintenance of Financial Procedures and Controls Manager and input into the wider Group Procedures Manual as required.
- Providing meaningful insight to influence commercial and strategic decision-making
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience of working in a similar role within a construction or housebuilding environment, possess extensive experience in a business-facing role and be comfortable working with and influencing senior management.
Furthermore, you will possess superior commercial acumen with the ability to take a strategic and commercial view and create solutions which align with company strategy and funding metrics.
