Permanent Finance Analyst job based in Redditch - paying up to £30,000 per annum

Hays are working with a well-known successful organisation in Redditch who are looking to welcome a Financial Analyst to their team on a permanent basis. A superb opportunity to join a finance team in a growing listed retail and services business.


Your new role


As a Financial Planning Analyst, you will utilise the company’s systems to provide accurate, data-based information and KPIs on company’s sales and financial performance.
  • You will analyse financial information across the group to assist in making well informed decisions.
  • Building on foundations set by the team, you will help to develop and transform the financial planning and reporting environment.
  • They are seeking a Financial Planning Analyst who is eager to grow and develop within a high performing and dynamic environment.
  • Reporting to an FP&A manager, you will utilise and develop existing reporting technology (Power BI) to analyse performance across the group’s operating segments.
  • With the support of your manager and the wider team, you will have the opportunity to learn and apply your technical skills: maintaining, designing and delivering new reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Assist the FP&A manager in developing accurate, timely and user-friendly reports, with a focus on Power BI, Databricks and Excel.
  • Have a basic understanding of data and reporting and exhibit a willingness to learn and champion the use of new reporting tools.
  • Contribute to maintaining and enhancing the reporting infrastructure, ensuring that it is robust, scalable, and secure.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement best practices for data management, security, and governance.
  • As you gain experience in this role, you will have opportunities to work on projects to enhance reporting solutions and systems, contribute to training programs to upskill stakeholders, and drive process improvements to streamline reporting processes and improve data quality.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Curious attitude and confident self-starter, with desire to continuously develop self and drive business forward.
  • Comfortable with large quantities of data, financial modelling, and analysis of complex data to inform commercial decision making.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines.
  • Absolute commitment to quality with a high attention to detail.
  • Dynamic and results-driven individual with a high level of energy.
  • The ability to build and develop good working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to progress and succeed within the business.

  • Microsoft Excel (essential)
  • Microsoft Power BI (desirable)
  • SAP (desirable)
  • Databricks (desirable)
  • Part Qualified studying towards either CIMA/ACCA/ACA
