This large, multi-site group is looking for a Group Accountant to join their Birmingham City Centre head office on a 12‑month fixed-term contract, offering a salary of £55,000–£65,000 plus benefits. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to gain unique exposure across financial reporting, IFRS 16 lease accounting, and property impairment reviews.

Your new role

In this role, you will prepare subsidiary statutory accounts and support the Group’s interim and annual reporting. You will manage IFRS 16 lease accounting, contribute to group consolidations, and oversee balance sheet and cash flow reporting. You will also liaise with auditors and play a key role in strengthening financial controls.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed, you should be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with strong technical knowledge of IFRS and FRS 101, particularly IFRS 16. Experience in group consolidations and statutory reporting is essential, along with advanced Excel skills. You will need to be organised, proactive, and confident in communicating with both internal and external stakeholders.
