I am recruiting for an interim Management Accountant position at a company based in Blackburn. This role will be for a period of 6–12 months, to have a hands-on role with a new project within the Finance team. The hours for this role are from Monday-Friday with hybrid working in place.
Your new role
As an Interim Management Accountant, you will play a key role in the finance team, focusing on monthly management reporting. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will support the Senior Accounting team by preparing accurate and comprehensive monthly management accounts. Along-side this, your day-to-day duties will include, supporting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Assisting in the audit process by preparing necessary documentation and backup. Preparing and posting journal entries accurately and timely. Perform balance sheet reconciliations for your designated area of responsibility. Supporting the preparation of year-end statutory accounts. And lastly, undertake various ad-hoc projects to support the finance team and strategic initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed within this role, you will either be part-qualified or fully qualified/ a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Have at least 2 years of relevant experience in management accounting or a similar role. A proven track record in preparing monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reports. As well as the above, it will be essential that you are a proficient user of Excel.
