About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Finance Officer to join a vibrant school community in Tower Hamlets. This is a key role supporting the school’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including invoicing, purchase orders, and reconciliations
 - Maintain accurate financial records using PS Financials
 - Support budget monitoring and reporting
 - Liaise with suppliers, staff, and external stakeholders
 - Assist with payroll and HR-related financial tasks
 - Ensure compliance with school financial policies and procedures
 
Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
 - Proven experience in a similar school-based finance role
 - Strong working knowledge of PS Financials
 - Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
 - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
 
Desirable
- AAT qualification or equivalent (not essential)
