About the Company
Hays are proud to be exclusively partnered with a small, family-run technology business based on the Wirral. With a close-knit team and a collaborative culture, they are now seeking a dedicated Finance Manager to take ownership of day-to-day financial operations.
About the Role
This is a hands-on finance role ideal for someone with a background in bookkeeping and/or management accounts. You will report directly to the Finance Director and play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the business. This position does not include line management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including:
- Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Processing supplier invoices and managing payment runs
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries
- Chasing outstanding payments and maintaining debtor records
- Submit payroll data to the outsourced payroll provider
- Liaise with suppliers and assist with deliveries when required
- Support the Finance Director with general financial oversight, including:
- Assisting with month-end routines
- Preparing and reviewing financial data for internal reporting
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes as needed
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls
What We’re Looking For:
- AAT qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Solid experience in bookkeeping and/or management accounts
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- A proactive, flexible team player who’s happy to get involved in wider business support when needed
