Charity - Interim Finance Director - 12M FTC - Up To £75k Plus Fantastic Benefits - Manchester

Independent registered charity that represents and supports students across a number of sister organisations in the Northwest.

Your new role
As Interim Finance Director, you will be working in a key role, supporting the organisation as they look to transition into a shared services' environment. You will oversee operations and manage the central Finance function, supporting the COO with duties including production of management accounts, VAT, budgeting and forecasting and balance sheet management.
This is a flexible hybrid role based in the city centre – please note, this contract is for 12months, but could potentially become permanent dependent on business performance.

What you'll need to succeed
  • You will be a fully qualified Accountant at CIPFA/ACA/CIMA/ACCA level.
  • You will have a dynamic personality, can do attitude and a hands-on approach with experience in similar roles.
  • You will have a proven history of leading small finance teams and taking responsibility of management accounts, balance sheet management, budgeting and forecasting and VAT, as well as liaising with external auditors and ensuring they adhere to tight timelines.
  • You will be confident collaborating with Executive leadership teams, with some Board reporting required.
  • Candidates with a background working within an SME environment will likely be suited to this role.
