Assistant Audit Manager Opportunity for a mid-tier exciting firm in Manchester City Centre.

Are you an Audit Senior looking to step into your first leadership role where your expertise is valued, and your career progression is supported? We are looking for an Assistant Audit Manager for a respected mid-tier accountancy firm in the heart of Manchester city centre.

Your new role
As an Audit Assistant Manager, you’ll take ownership of a varied portfolio of audit clients, supporting the Audit Manager and Partners in delivering exceptional service. You’ll lead audit teams, manage client relationships, and play a key role in developing junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
  • Managing audits from planning through to completion, including budgeting and risk assessment
  • Leading on-site teams and reviewing the work of seniors and trainees
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients, building strong and lasting relationships
  • Supporting the development and training of junior team members
  • Assisting with internal projects and contributing to the continuous improvement of audit processes
What you'll need to succeed
  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in audit within a UK practice environment, ideally at senior or assistant manager level
  • Strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with a passion for delivering quality
