Closing out a project for a well-known telecoms company

Your new role
As Commercial Manager, you'll be responsible for successfully closing off a major telecoms project within a 3-6 month timeframe. You'll lead a focused team of 2 professionals, ensuring all commercial aspects of the project are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing stakeholder relationships across multiple departments
- Overseeing contract negotiations and variations
- Ensuring compliance with commercial terms and conditions
- Managing a team of two Quantity Surveyors
- Monitoring project financials and profitability
- Preparing detailed commercial reports for senior leadership
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risks
- Coordinating with technical teams to align commercial and operational objectives
This role requires someone who can hit the ground running and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager within the telecommunications sector
- Strong project closure and contract management expertise
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate small teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of telecoms project commercials and industry standards
- Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management
- Experience with contract negotiations and commercial risk assessment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Previous experience with major telecommunications providers would be advantageous, but utilities (water/energy) will be considered.
- RICS accredited.
