Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Finance Business Partner and Business Manager with day-to-day financial operations.
- Manage financial transactions, process invoices and orders, and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with financial procedures and contribute to budget monitoring.
- Assist with VAT claims and monthly reporting
- Provide finance training to staff and support governance reporting.
- Oversee the ordering, receipt of goods and authorisation of payments through the school’s financial system and ensure swift payment of invoices.
- Provide support to the Finance Business Partner in relation to external and internal audits as and when required.
- Support the Finance Business Partner in the timely production of reports and data for the Business
Committee and Local Accountability Board.
Key Skills/Experience:
- A degree or equivalent qualification is essential.
- Working towards a professional qualification in accountancy is essential.
- Experience in financial administration within an educational setting is essential.
- Strong IT and financial systems knowledge (PS Financials experience desirable).
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A collaborative team player with a commitment to confidentiality and continuous improvement.
