Interim Finance Business Partner

Your new company
Are you looking for a Finance Business Partner opportunity where you can work closely with stakeholders, add value, influence, have involvement with an ERP implementation, process improvement, automation and broaden your skills?
Due to continued growth and investment, our client is looking to recruit a talented Finance Business Partner to join their finance team and work on a hybrid basis at their offices based in Edinburgh.

Your new role
  • Monthly Management Reporting: Prepare and deliver monthly management reports, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Monthly Meetings: Participate in and contribute to monthly meetings with key stakeholders to review financial performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Reporting Timetable: Work to and continuously develop the reporting timetable to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing detailed financial insights.
  • Balance Sheet Ownership: Take full ownership of the balance sheet, ensuring all reconciliations are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Profit and Loss Analysis: Conduct thorough profit and loss analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations and sales teams, providing financial support and insights.
  • People Management and Development; Manage and develop a small team
  • ERP System Implementation: Assist with the implementation of a new ERP system.
  • Process Improvement and Automation: Help identify process improvement and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Professional Qualifications: ACCA, CIMA, CA, ACA, or finalist status.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks, with good financial knowledge.
  • Process Improvement: Proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements and automation.
  • IT Systems: Keen interest and experience in IT systems, including ERP and Excel
  • Meeting Deadlines: Consistently meet reporting deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of financial information.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving.
  • Self-Motivation: Demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and the ability to manage various requirements effectively.
  • Organisational Skills: Exhibit excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting effectively at all levels.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work closely with operations teams, providing valuable finance support.
