Your new company

Based in Bellshill, our client is recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The hours of work are 37.5 hours per week and the organisation has flexibility on start and finish times (e.g. 8am–4pm/8.30am - 4.30pm/9am–5pm etc). The role is office-based, and it is recommended that applicants have access to their own transport.

Your new role

Reporting to the Accountant and working as part of a sub-team of 2 but operating as part of a larger finance function, the Finance Assistant will undertake a range of responsibilities. Your duties will focus primarily on accounts payable and will not be limited to; invoice processing, handling supplier queries, working with internal stakeholders, processing expenses, reconciliations, cash postings and general associated finance tasks.

What you'll need to succeed

Ideally, you will have proven experience in accounts payable/purchase ledger. Training can be provided in areas in which you are less experienced. You will be a clear and professional communicator and be able to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues alike. The IT system used is Sage 200 and experience of this package is highly advantageous. You will also work with Excel on a daily basis. This role will suit a candidate who is passionate about taking true ownership of the accounts-payable duties of an organisation whilst working alongside a supportive team.
