Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger, Accounts Assistant
About the Role
An established and growing organisation within the digital print and online services sector is seeking a Finance Assistant to join its busy finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration and finance experience who wants to develop their career in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting month‑end activities. The role offers hybrid working and a competitive salary package.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage the Purchase Ledger
- Handle customer payment queries
- Raise purchase orders and liaise with suppliers
- Accurately process purchase invoices
- Raise sales invoices and credit notes
- Carry out credit control duties
- Allocate payment and receipt transactions to the correct accounts
- Support month‑end cut‑off processes
- Assist with other finance-related tasks as required
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths & English
- 2+ years’ experience in administration and finance
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Eagerness to learn new systems and processes
