Temporary Finance Assistant, North Bath, Up to £15 hour, Hybrid Basis

We are a leading aviation company located in North of Bath. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis. Your new role

As a Finance Assistant, your role will be integral to the smooth operation of our finance department. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Processing invoices and expense reports in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded.
  • Assisting with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing the team with the necessary financial insights for planning and decision-making.
  • Conducting financial analysis to support decision-making processes, presenting your findings to the finance team and senior management.
  • Participating in month-end and year-end processes, including account reconciliation and report generation. You will play a key role in ensuring our financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Collaborating with other departments to streamline financial operations and procedures. You will be a key point of contact for financial queries within the company.

What you’ll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in finance or accounting, preferably with a degree in a related field. You should have excellent numerical skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in all your work.
While experience in the aviation industry is a plus, it is not a requirement. However, you should be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in the industry and a willingness to learn. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software are essential. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are also required. You should be comfortable presenting financial information to non-financial colleagues and senior management.
