Purchase Ledger | 6-month Fixed term contract | £25K

I am working with a company situated in Burnley which has grown from being a small company into an award-winning group of specialist companies. They are looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger on a temporary basis of 6 months but there is a high possibility of this position going permanent for the right candidate. This is a full-time role with flexible working options available.
Your new role
With your new role, your day-to-day will be processing of creditor invoices via the accounts payable system in a timely manner, ensuring that all internal controls are adhered to by budget holders, this will ensure the timely payment terms are met for suppliers. Payment runs will be completed on a weekly basis to ensure payments are reached by the supplier’s bank, in line with their payment terms. Purchase Orders will be raised within the finance department to avoid any delay of services required for the finance team.
You will ensure that sales invoices are raised within finance to external customers for goods have provided, and to ensure that effective credit control and monitoring processes are in place. All accounts payable reconciliations are to be carried out in a timely manner, any discrepancies investigated with budget holders and suppliers, to ensure the delivery of services required for the group. This will include managing the usage of the company’s credit and debit cards ensuring all requests are complete.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed within this role, you will either be qualified by experience or be AAT qualified. Experience of telephone, written and personal contact with customers is desirable but not a necessity and working to deadlines and proficient IT user, including Microsoft office.
