Your new role
As Finance Officer, you will assist in a wide range of financial management duties, ensuring robust systems and controls are in place. Reporting to a Finance Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development and maintenance of budgetary control systems
- Preparing and inputting approved changes to the budgetary system
- Assisting with financial reports and variance analysis
- Creating and maintaining budget reports for managers
- Providing advice and training to budget holders
- Completing payroll and non-pay expenditure adjustments
- Assisting with funding identification and staffing establishment preparation.
This role requires accuracy, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant finance experience OR Accounting Technician qualification (Level 4) with 2 years’ experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Analytical skills to interpret financial data and communicate findings
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport
