Part Time Temporary Finance Administrator


Hays are working with a reputable organisation seeking a Part‑Time Finance Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis for the next few months. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking for flexible hours within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Your New Role
In this varied and fast‑paced role, you will provide essential administrative and transactional support to the finance team. Key responsibilities include:
Purchase Orders & Invoicing
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders and checking for accuracy.
  • Highlighting missing or incorrect PO information and escalating where required.
  • Ensuring all documentation is processed in a timely and compliant manner.
Finance Inbox Management
  • Acting as the first point of contact for the shared Finance Inbox.
  • Monitoring, triaging, and responding to queries.
  • Directing emails to the appropriate person when required and ensuring efficient follow‑up.
Customer & Supplier Accounts
  • Receiving and reconciling customer and supplier statements.
  • Identifying discrepancies and following up on missing invoices or credit notes.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month‑end processes.
General Finance Support
  • Providing wider administrative support to the finance team.
  • Assisting during busy periods and contributing to smooth day‑to‑day operations.
What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts administration role.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence working with financial data.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to manage your own workload and work independently.
  • Competence with finance systems and Microsoft Office.
