A well-established organisation based in Syston, Leicester is seeking an experienced Sales Administrator to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting their export sales operations and contribute to the company's continued success.
Your New Role
As the Sales Administrator, you will be a crucial member of the Sales Admin Department, focusing on export sales and managing all associated activities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Export Order Management: Raising and progressing export orders, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Shipping & Customs Documentation: Handling all related shipping and customs documentation, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Credit Control Liaison: Monitoring export customers' credit status, liaising with the finance department, and communicating status updates to the team and customers.
- Customer Communication: Proactively informing customers about out-of-stock products and offering suitable alternatives.
- Business Development Support: Providing comprehensive support to Business Development Managers, including preparing quotes, managing samples, and arranging travel.
- Price Increase Coordination: Coordinating the annual price increase for non-UK markets in collaboration with Business Development Managers.
- Distributor Support: Assisting distributors with tender submissions, maintaining a working knowledge of all current contracts and relevant pricing.
- Overseas Distributor Customer Service: Providing exceptional customer service to overseas distributors, addressing administrative queries, handling customer feedback, and building strong customer relationships to enhance sales.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high standard of literacy and numeracy.
- Advanced IT proficiency, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software packages, particularly excel.
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver accurate results.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and take initiative, as well as follow instructions effectively.
