To meet their strategic service goals, our client has recently been granted new funding and look to add an accounts assistant to their 5 strong finance function on an interim basis for a minimum of 6 weeks. The client will be looking to add an accounts assistant to their team on a permanent basis and the position provides great opportunity for long-term success.

Your new role
As Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the finance function through a variety of administrative and transactional tasks. You’ll be responsible for:
- Scanning and uploading invoices into the finance system (Sage)
- Processing purchase ledger transactions accurately and efficiently
- Monitoring finance mailboxes and responding to queries
- Supporting wider finance admin tasks and rolling up your sleeves to help where needed
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys being a reliable support across the team.
What you'll need to succeed
You’ll bring previous experience in a finance or accounts support role, ideally within a busy environment. Familiarity with Sage or similar finance systems is desirable, along with a proactive attitude and strong attention to detail.
What you'll get in return
- Competitive annual salary between £28,000 and £33,000 – paid hourly
- Generous permanent equivalent annual leave: 31 days plus bank holidays
- 35-hour working week
