Finance Assistant - Temporary to Permanent - Rotherham - ASAP start - up to £29,000 - Fully office based

Hays are proud to be exclusively working with a large company based in Rotherham.

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable individual to support their finance and purchasing functions. This role involves a broad range of tasks across accounts, payroll, general finance administration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a fast-paced environment.


Your new role

  • Manage customer invoicing, payments, and account statements.

  • Handle supplier invoices, payment runs, and resolve discrepancies.

  • Process payroll, pensions, and statutory payments (NI, PAYE, VAT).

  • Maintain accurate banking records, including reconciliations and expense claims.

  • Support month-end and year-end reporting.

  • Assist with audits and stock take activities.

  • Record production data and update import schedules.

  • Adhoc duties as required

What you'll need to succeed

  • Solid understanding of Finance ERP systems

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles
