Hays Accountancy & Finance are working in partnership with a locally owned growing company, in the search for a Payroll and Financial Administrator, offering a salary of up to £30,000 per annum.
Job description
- Responsibility for the monthly payroll cycle.
- Liasing with the payroll provider to agree all payslips and make monthly payments.
- Processing starter forms, adding new starters to time and attendance software and pension website.
- Processing leavers and requesting P45’s
- Compiling information on hours worked/pay rates across all sites for each employee to include in monthly payslips.
- Reporting hours incurred and payroll costs departmentally monthly.
- Recording sick pay / maternity pay / paternity pay.
- Completing all paperwork for external inquiries.
- Checking all payslips and processing monthly salary payments.
- Completion of government surveys.
- Point of contact for all payroll queries from management team and staff.
- Balance sheet reconciliations monthly, pensions control account and net wages control account.
- Assisting Finance Manager with other duties in the Finance department mid month, such as credit control and purchase ledger.
- Ad hoc administration duties as required by the Finance Manager.
What you will need;
- 1 year experience processing payroll for staff paid hourly.
- 1 years experience working in a busy finance office
- Desirable - Experience with Brightpay payroll software, Smart Pension / Nest pension providers, or with SAGE 50 accounting system.
