Assistant Director of Finance
Reporting to the S151, you will be working for a local authority.
Leadership and Innovation:
Lead and drive the Council’s financial planning, strategy, policy, and control. Provide professional support and high-quality corporate financial advice and assurance to the Director of Finance, Corporate Board, and members (including Cabinet, committees, Overview and Scrutiny, opposition, etc.).
Deputy s.151 Officer:
Serve as the Deputy s.151 officer for the Council, ensuring an effective Business Partnering and management accounting service across the Council.Cross-Boundary Operations:
Operate across organisational and professional boundaries to ensure quality financial decision-making and council-wide financial governance. Collaborate internally and externally (including with the health sector) within both local and national contexts.
Professional Leadership:
Provide professional leadership and expertise to the Finance service. Manage effective operational performance, set vision and performance standards, and develop service capability and capacity.
Corporate Culture Contribution:
Contribute to a corporate organisational culture that fosters innovation, collaboration, and excellent staff performance.Does this capture what you were aiming for?
