A highly prestigious retailer are hiring a Facilities Manager to join their business based in London.
Your new company
Our client are a highly prestigious, well-regarded tailor who are a leading name in their industry. They are hiring a Facilities Manager to join the team in London to lead the delivery of facilities services for their varied property portfolio.
Your new role
As Facilities Manager, you will be the go-to person for facilities and property management across the mixed portfolio consisting of 5 small retail stores, warehousing, offices and more, including buildings that are leased out. Key duties will include:
- Group facilities management: property maintenance, contractor management, capital projects, and more
- Tenant management: point of contact for tenants, service charge budgets, fire safety and more
- Health, safety & environment: Working with QHSE manager in conducting risk assessments, H&S site representative in London, KPI tracking, implementing best practices and more
- Business continuity and disaster recovery: Part of the task force
- Property records: Maintenance of owned property records, tenant records, and more
- Site management: Site responsibilities for London, including boardroom readiness, climate & humidity controls and more
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will require proven facilities management experience working across a multi-site commercial property portfolio. You will also require:
- Strong facilities knowledge and experience across maintenance, contractor management, compliance, H&S, and more.
- Budgeting experience, ideally including service charges and utilities (or willingness to develop in these areas).
- Strong can-do attitude and motivation: This is a one-person department, and so will require the postholder to work to get things done rather than having the opportunity to delegate.
- Relevant IWFM or similar qualifications are desirable however not essential.
- Level-headed problem solver using rationale and logic to handle issues, often sensitive & confidential by nature.
