Our client are a leading investment and asset management firm operating on a global scale. They operate out of an impressive corporate office in central London, and are hiring a Workplace/Facilities Services Assistant to join their high-performing workplace services team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
As Workplace/Facilities Services Assistant you will provide a critical support service within their London HQ supporting mail distribution, couriers, safety inspections and archiving activity amongst supporting other ad hoc functional activity that arises. Communication, building strong internal stakeholder and supplier relationships will be key to this role. As part of enhancing the function's reputation you will be dynamic, multi-skilled and integrate within other areas of the Workplace function when required. Key duties will include:
- Meeting room & AV support (setting up meeting rooms etc.)
- Courier support (arranging couriers etc.)
- Archiving
- Mail & print services
- Being aware of H&S regulations and ensuring a safe workplace
- Liaising with contractors and colleagues to ensure maintenance tasks are completed
- Communicating with the team and key stakeholders to ensure a positive workplace experience
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you will require some exposure to a large office environment as well as some experience in workplace & facilities services, allowing you to complete the above tasks. You will also require:
- Strong communication skills
- IT proficiency (using systems, meeting room setups, AV systems etc.)
- Helpdesk experience
- Health & safety aware (IOSH working safely or equivalent desirable, however not essential)
- Drive to learn and develop your skills within facilities
