EYFS Teacher – Maternity Cover (Summer 2) Good Primary School Oldham
Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded education setting to recruit an experienced EYFS Teacher to cover maternity leave for the Summer 2 term.
This is a full-time teaching opportunity within an EYFS Unit supporting 2–3-year-olds, ideal for a confident Early Years specialist who enjoys leading a unit and making a positive impact in a short-term role.
Your New Role
As the EYFS Teacher, you will:
- Take full responsibility for leading the EYFS unit during the maternity cover period
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework
- Lead and work collaboratively with support staff within the unit
- Support children with SEND, ensuring inclusive and nurturing practice
- Create a safe, stimulating, and caring learning environment
A handover period will be provided prior to May half term (dates to be confirmed, likely w/c 18–22 May 2026) to support a smooth transition.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching within EYFS, particularly with 2–3-year-olds
- Confidence in leading an EYFS unit
- Experience supporting children with SEND
- A flexible, caring, and proactive approach
