Early years Teaching Job in Sheffield

Your new school


Hays Education are currently recruiting reliable and adaptable EYFS teachers for job roles at Primary Schools in Sheffield. These jobs are mainly based in Foundation Stages but can be extended to Key Stage 1 as well. We have a commitment with local schools in Sheffield to get trusted and reliable teachers with Foundation Stage / Early Years experience who will work on long-term placements as well as day-to-day supply jobs. This can be both full-time or part-time, to suit your work-life balance.



Your new role


Your new role as a Foundation Stage Supply Teacher will be working in schools across Sheffield and South Yorkshire. This can be on a full or part-time basis to suit your personal needs and circumstances. You will be required to deliver the planning left by the teacher as well as marking all work before leaving a handover for the returning teacher. This job is open to all teachers from ECTs to those with more experience in Primary Schools, ideally with Foundation Stage knowledge.


This job will suit those who have a passion for teaching and can be flexible and adaptable due to the diversity of the schools we work with. Many of our roles are on a long-term supply basis from 4 weeks to a full term and beyond. We also provide day to day bookings across Sheffield as well as further afield across South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire.


What You'll Need to Succeed


  • Ideally, you will have worked with foundation stage or primary aged children for at least 20 days in the last 2 years.
  • Experience teaching in a primary school or early years setting.
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Have completed a PGCE and hold UK QTS.
  • Good knowledge of the English National Curriculum.
