EYFS Teacher Job in Taunton

Are you a passionate and dedicated EYFS Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity to inspire young learners? We are currently supporting a welcoming and supportive primary school in Taunton, Somerset, to recruit an enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher for a full-time, long-term temporary position starting in September.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a nurturing school environment where children are encouraged to develop confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning from the very beginning of their educational journey.

The Role
As the EYFS Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons that support children's development across all areas of the EYFS curriculum. You will create a positive and stimulating learning environment, ensuring every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to achieve their full potential.

Working closely with support staff, parents, and school leaders, you will play a key role in helping children make a confident and successful start to their education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Assess, monitor, and track children's progress and development
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Promote children's social, emotional, and academic development
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching within an EYFS setting
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Passion for delivering engaging and child-centred learning experiences
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
