EYFS Teacher role in Dudley starting in January 2026

A well-regarded primary school in the Brierley Hill area is seeking a dynamic and experienced EYFS Teacher to lead its Early Years Foundation Stage. This is a full-time, permanent position that combines classroom teaching with strategic leadership responsibilities across the EYFS phase.

As the EYFS Teacher and Phase Lead, you will:

  • Teach a Nursery or Reception class, delivering high-quality, play-based learning experiences aligned with the EYFS Framework.
  • Lead the EYFS phase, overseeing curriculum planning, assessment, and provision across Nursery and Reception.
  • Support and mentor EYFS staff, ensuring consistency in teaching standards and pupil outcomes.
  • Monitor progress and attainment, using data to inform planning and interventions.
  • Collaborate with SLT, contributing to whole-school development and improvement strategies.
  • Engage with parents and carers, fostering strong home-school partnerships and promoting early learning.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early years education and ready to take on a leadership challenge within a supportive school environment.


What you'll need to succeed:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching Nursery or Reception
  • Previous experience as a Phase Lead or in a leadership capacity within EYFS
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
  • Ability to inspire, lead and support colleagues
