Employment Tax/ Expatriate Tax Assistant Manager/ Manager

Your new company

Dynamic growing accountancy firm seeking to recruit into their very successful Tax team in an advisory-focused role which will involve working with a corporate client base from a range of industries, providing advice and guidance on tax matters associated with pay, reward and benefits.

Your new role

If successfully appointed to this role, you will advise clients enabling them to comply with employment tax legislation, identifying ways in which they can best structure employee pay and benefits arrangements to be cost-effective, avoid risks and reward effectively.

This will involve researching technical tax matters, writing technical reports which are well-structured and deliver the right level of detail and communicating with clients, giving clear and accurate guidance to support their decision-making.

You will work on a wide range of tax matters which might include PAYE settlement agreements, National Minimum Wage, HMRC enquiries, Global Mobility, IR35, supply chain due diligence, salary sacrifice for pensions, reward schemes such as share save schemes, company cars and associated P11Ds.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a self-motivated and technically able tax professional keen to work with an interesting corporate client base. You will be confidently able to undertake research to identify the right areas of tax legislation to support your clients. Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal will be essential. Candidates with prior expat tax and/ or employment tax experience will be considered - whether this has been gained through a role in a UK accountancy practice, a tax role in industry or from HMRC.

Accountancy/ tax qualifications such as ATT/CTA/ACCA/ACA would be beneficial but not essential.

What you'll get in return

The chosen individual will join a very successful and well-regarded employment tax team with a clear management structure and a strong client base. This is a growing firm with strong ambitions, and therefore you will be offered a real opportunity to progress in your career and develop your skills. If successful, support towards CTA qualification would be offered.
A wide range of employee benefits are on offer, hybrid working is in operation and part-time and full-time working patterns will be considered.
