You’ll be involved in a diverse portfolio of work spanning healthcare, leisure, retail, social housing and refurbishment, delivering high-quality solutions for both public-sector bodies and private clients.

The Role

As an Estimator, you’ll take ownership of preparing robust, competitive tenders across a range of construction and refurbishment schemes. Working alongside the commercial, pre‑construction and delivery teams, you’ll ensure pricing is accurate, achievable, and aligned with business objectives.

This is a role for someone who enjoys collaboration, understands construction methodology, and is confident balancing commercial risk with opportunity.

Key Duties

  • Producing comprehensive cost plans and tender estimates

  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender information to identify scope and risks

  • Sourcing, assessing and comparing prices from subcontractors and suppliers

  • Creating detailed cost breakdowns and bills of quantities

  • Supporting bid strategies by highlighting value opportunities and potential risks

  • Engaging with internal teams and external partners throughout the tender process

  • Contributing to tender submissions, clarifications and presentations

  • Attending bid reviews and pre‑construction meetings

  • Maintaining accurate pricing data and tender records

  • Assisting with value engineering and early-stage cost planning

About You

  • Proven experience estimating within the construction or refurbishment sector

  • Confident working with drawings, specifications and technical information

  • Strong numerical ability with a methodical, detail-focused approach

  • Solid understanding of construction methods and commercial principles

  • Able to manage workloads independently while contributing as part of a team

  • Clear and professional communicator

  • Experience using Conquest is an advantage, but not essential – training can be provided

What’s in It for You?

  • Competitive, negotiable salary

  • Private healthcare

  • 32 days’ annual leave (including bank holidays)

  • Flexible working options

  • Company pension scheme

  • Cycle to work initiative

  • Bereavement leave

  • Free on-site parking

  • Supportive, collaborative commercial environment

  • Exposure to a varied and interesting project portfolio
