Estimator – Water Infrastructure – Strong Pipeline of work – Main Contractor

Your new company

A leading water infrastructure contractor with a strong pipeline of work across the North West is seeking a MEICA Estimator to join their growing commercial team. Your new role

As MEICA Estimator, you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation packages. You’ll work closely with engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure bids are commercially viable and aligned with client specifications.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparing detailed estimates for MEICA works across water and wastewater projects
  • Reviewing tender documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
  • Supporting bid submissions and attending client meetings
  • Identifying value engineering opportunities and risk factors

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in estimating within MEICA or water sector projects
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in a civil environment
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
