We are partnering with a well established contractor that delivers refurbishment solutions and new build projects across the education, health, leisure, commercial, defence and heritage sectors of the industry. They are looking to hire an Estimator to join the team in their Bristol office.
Your new role
- Review project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing for materials and labour.
- Analyse project risks and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare bid proposals and participate in bid meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates and project data.
- Communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in an Estimating role with a Main Contractor
- Experience running own tenders on similar projects
- Professional Qualification
- Experience working with Estimating software packages
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- The ability to accurately measure using CAD Measure and manual measures.
