ROLE: Estimator
HOURS: 40 hours, 8:00am - 5:00pm
LOCATION: Hybrid – Birmingham, London, Bristol, Manchester Base Hubs
SECTOR: Landscapes
A brand-new position for a driven and driven Estimator to join our team in the Landscapes sector to support on a range of projects within new builds, construction and landscaping. This opportunity will offer you to make the role your own, working with existing teams in the UK and internationally.
Role Responsibilities:
- Review drawings, specifications, and other project documents,
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors,
- Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analyses,
- Maintain and update cost databases, pricing models and historical data,
- Prepare bid proposals and supporting documentation,
- Monitor cost changes and revise estimates as project scope evolves,
- Ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and regulations,
- Solicit, review and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes,
- Identify potential cost risks and value - engineering opportunities,
- Collaborate with project managers and sales teams during bidding and execution.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Estimator or similar role,
- Landscape/ Construction / Cladding related experience,
- A high degree of numeric skills and strong planning and organisational ability,
- Excellent time keeping and strong planning skills,
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost drivers,
- Proficiency with estimating software and spreadsheet (e.g., Excel, Bluebeam, QuickScale, CRM, Salesforce, SAGE, Construct, or similar.)
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment,
- Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills,
- Ability to generate, develop and present ideas and suggestions for improvements in order to achieve more effective working practices,
- Discretion in dealing with confidential information,
