About the Role
We’re seeking a dynamic and driven M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team in either Cambridge or Norwich. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced QS or for professionals currently working as Contract Managers, Project Managers, or Site Supervisors who are ready to transition into a commercial role.
You’ll play a key part in managing the financial and contractual aspects of M&E projects, ensuring value, compliance, and successful delivery across a diverse portfolio.
️ Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts
- Conduct valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Support procurement and tendering processes for subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitor project progress and provide commercial reports to stakeholders
- Liaise with site teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure commercial alignment
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist in contract negotiation and administration (NEC, JCT, etc.)
- Contribute to continuous improvement of commercial processes and systems
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from:
- Experienced M&E Quantity Surveyors
- Contract/Project Managers or Site Supervisors with strong commercial awareness and a desire to move into a QS role
✅ Essential Skills & Experience
- Background in M&E construction or building services
- Strong understanding of cost control, procurement, and contract management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Proficiency in MS Excel and commercial software (e.g., Causeway, COINS, etc.)
Qualifications
- Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field (preferred but not essential)
- Relevant industry certifications or training will be considered.
