Hays Education are recruiting for a vibrant co-ed secondary school based in Gloucester, who are looking for a passionate Teacher of English for KS3 - KS4. This role is a long-term temporary position, on a full or part-time basis.

Your new role

• Planning, preparing and delivering engaging and effective lessons that meet the needs and abilities of all learners.

• Assessing, recording and reporting on the progress and attainment of students

• Providing feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their skills and confidence

• Contributing to the development of the English curriculum and departmental policies

• Collaborating with other teachers and staff to share best practices and support the school’s vision and ethos

• Participating in professional development activities and meetings

What you'll need to succeed

• A relevant degree and a qualified teacher status (QTS)

• Experience of teaching English at KS3 and KS4 level

• A passion for the English language and literature and a desire to inspire students

• Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills

• A willingness to contribute to the extracurricular activities of the school
