Workshop Solutions Engineering Manager

They are now looking for an experienced Workshop Solutions Engineering Manager to join the team.

Your new role

As a Workshop solutions engineering manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering an engineering solution for their key product portfolio of multi-brand diagnostics, SaaS, and Training.
This role has 1 direct report.

  • You will forge and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers to ensure their product and software offerings are robust, innovative, and aligned with market demands.
  • Lead the technical evaluation and sign-off process for all new product offerings to ensure they meet rigorous engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to enhance product coverage and performance based on comprehensive internal and external feedback.
  • Oversee the end-to-end process of software 'bug' reporting and resolution, ensuring timely and effective solutions that uphold product quality.
  • Maintain and refine engineering development and production processes and tools for the hardware platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency

What you'll need to succeed

  • 3+ years in a similar role or relevant experience.

  • A driven individual who has experience in multi-brand diagnostics.

  • Experience with OE diagnostic tools and software would be ideal.

  • Experience with automotive technologies such as CAN, LIN, MOST, Ethernet

  • Experience with diagnostic protocols such as Keyword, DiagOnCan, UDS, DoIP, etc.

  • Experience with J2534 PassThru implementation

  • Experience with diagnostic workflow

  • Experience as a Scrum Product Owner would be ideal.

  • Knowledge of Material Design and Angular Material would be ideal.

  • Experience with UX and UI design

  • Experience with Figma and Microsoft Visio

  • Experience with C#, .NET, WPF/XAML, XML/XSL

  • Git, Jira, Mantis

  • Preferred

  • Experience of working in a global and cross-matrix organisation

  • Technical understanding of Automotive Industry and Aftermarket
