Your new role

Reporting to the IT Director, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the MAT's infrastructure, with a strong focus on the cloud environment (M365, Azure & InTune), overseeing technical aspects of the infrastructure and working in line with the wider IT strategy for the trust and supporting the delivery of IT projects. Administration of the infrastructure will include installing and configuring new software & servers, building and rollout of new hardware including imaging of laptops tec, managing and administering VMWare & Hyper-V, managing and administering network switches and all communications technology such as M365, VoIP and Exchange. From a maintenance perspective, this will require you to ensure that all servers and software are up-to-date, plan and implement upgrades, procurement of new hardware which may be required and support the organisation with the roll-out of new technologies. In addition, you will be responsible for the implementation of security policies and procedures, ensuring these are up-to-date, regularly reviewing any IT documentation and communicating with staff regarding changes. As part of the wider IT team, you will work closely with colleagues around the delivery of the IT strategy, providing updates on any upcoming changes and new technologies, supporting the delivery of new IT projects and further developing the wider IT infrastructure.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position, you must have significant IT/Infrastructure Engineer experience and will have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, having worked in an environment where you have been responsible for both the maintenance and administration of a cloud environment. From a qualification perspective, M365 fundamentals, Administrator and Azure Fundamentals would be ideal, however experience working in a cloud environment is essential. The passion for providing a high level of IT service, as well as the passion for working in the education sector forming part of a wider team are also essential.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will be paid a competitive salary of between £34,000 and £36,000 and will be joining a growing organisation, where you will experience further growth and progression opportunities. You will become an integral part of the wider IT team where you will have the opportunity to upskill, undertake additional qualifications and training courses to further develop your own IT knowledge. Working in the education sector, you will also receive an attractive holiday and benefits package, as well as regular salary reviews.
