Electrician, Cookstown
Your new company is a dynamic and growing organisation that values its employees and strives to create a positive and inclusive work environment. They are looking for a full-time Electrician to join their team and help continue to build a culture of excellence.
Your new role as a full-time qualified electrician will involve supporting the electrical engineering staff. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team and contribute to the success of the organisation. Your responsibilities will include delivering industrial electrical LV & HV in-site services and installs throughout the UK & Ireland. The role will be based in Northern Ireland with opportunities to work throughout the UK & Ireland if desired. You will be installing containment services such as ladder, tray, basket, and conduit, as well as LV & HV switchgear, transformers, control panels, and secondary equipment. You will also be responsible for SWA, CY, YY power and control cabling installation and termination, prioritising and managing allocated work, completing pre-power up checks, and complying with all current regulations. You will be expected to work to a high standard in terms of quality and health and safety.
What you’ll need to succeed is an apprenticeship electrical qualification, time served with relevant experience, and experience within industrial and commercial electrical installations. Experience in testing and fault-finding within a process control environment would be an advantage, but is not essential. Candidates should have a driving license and be willing to learn and develop their skills in a fast-paced engineering company at the forefront of the field.
What you’ll get in return is a competitive salary, negotiable depending on experience, with weekly payments. The benefits package includes a company pension scheme, a private healthcare scheme, death in service life insurance scheme, and a refer a friend scheme. There are also opportunities for career progression. Working hours are 42 hours per week, dependent on location and tasks, with opportunities for Monday to Friday and weekend overtime.
