Electrical Supervisor, Gatwick Airport, Days, 60 weeks
An electrical contractor is looking for an Electrical Supervisor to work on a high-profile infrastructure project at Gatwick Airport, working on the construction of a new pier. This is a critical part of the airport’s expansion and modernisation, involving complex electrical installations in a live operational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate electrical installation works on-site.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and project specifications.
- Manage and lead a team of electricians and subcontractors.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Conduct quality checks and ensure installations meet required standards.
- Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports and inspections.
- Support commissioning activities and handover documentation.
 Essential Qualifications & Certifications:
- JIB Gold Card – Valid and in date.
- IPAF – For operating MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms).
- SSSTS – Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme certification.
- Proven experience supervising electrical works on large-scale infrastructure or aviation projects.
Desirable Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience working in live airport environments or similarly regulated sectors.
- Familiarity with airport security protocols and permit systems.
Additional Information:
- Must be eligible to work in the UK and pass airport security clearance.
- PPE and tools are provided as required.
- Overtime and weekend work may be available depending on project needs.
