Electrical Electrician Engineer
Electrical Engineer– Warehouse Environment
Initial 6-week contract (with potential to extend) £25–£27 per hour
Location: Peterborough PE2
Hays are working with a well-established organisation to recruit an experienced Electrical Engineer to support ongoing maintenance works within a large warehouse environment.
This is an initial 6-week contract, with the strong possibility of extension as the project progresses.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and carrying out like-for-like electrical fitting replacements across the warehouse. The role is hands-on and operational, supporting the safe and efficient running of electrical systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out general PPM works across the warehouse
- Completing like-for-like electrical fitting replacements
- Inspecting, repairing and replacing electrical components and equipment
- Responding to reactive maintenance issues where required
- Working in line with health & safety procedures and site standards
- Completing tasks efficiently with minimal supervision
What You’ll Need
- Level 3 Electrical Qualification
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
- Previous experience in a warehouse, industrial or commercial environment
- Ability to work independently and follow maintenance schedules
- Strong awareness of electrical safety and compliance
