Your new role

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of a fast-paced, highly automated production environment, ensuring equipment runs smoothly and efficiently. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues on advanced CNC machinery, robotics, and conveyor systems controlled by PLCs.
  • Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance and reacting swiftly to unplanned breakdowns to reduce downtime.
  • Partnering with production and engineering teams to enhance equipment reliability and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and contributing to long-term solutions through root-cause analysis.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or higher) in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
  • Hands-on experience maintaining high-speed, automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong fault-finding skills on PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron).
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and the flexibility to work a Panama shift schedule.
