Hays is working with a leading facilities management provider to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a critical site in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing team supporting essential infrastructure in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment.
Role Overview
Role Overview
- You’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and fault rectification of plant and equipment across the site. This includes:
- Responding to breakdowns within SLA timeframes
- Working with UPS, CPS, power distribution, cooling systems, and other critical infrastructure
- Supporting emergency response and call-out protocols
- Escalating urgent issues to the Technical Services Manager
- Maintaining accurate engineering documentation and compliance records
- Conducting site surveys and producing method statements and risk assessments
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- 17th/18th Edition Qualified
- Experience in Facilities Management (FM)
- Strong understanding of CDM regulations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proven ability to manage tasks and materials independently
- Familiarity with H&S procedures including COSHH, Working at Heights (ipaf. pasma)
- Risk Assessment - IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualified – or CSCS
- Skilled in testing and inspecting electrical systems – JIB gold card, 2391 equivalent
- Knowledge of emergency response and environmental monitoring protocol
- Desirable
- Experience in data centre or critical environment operations
