Your New Role

This skilled technical maintenance role will offer the opportunity to work on production machinery within a fast-moving, highly automated environment.

Your core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Responding to machine breakdowns • fault diagnosis and carrying out repairs to injection moulding machines and auxiliary equipment • You will need to contribute to continuous improvement with emphasis on the overall effectiveness of the manufacturing process, productivity, quality and reducing manufacturing costs • Regular responsibility to carry out PPM and safety checks on all equipment and keeping stock and ordering of relevant spare parts to assist with the above.

Previous experience of working with PLCs and a variety of high-speed, automated equipment is essential.

What You'll Need To Succeed

In order to be considered for this position you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:

A solid background in mechanical and/or electrical engineering • Proven experience with production or packaging machinery • Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and troubleshooting capabilities • Hands-on experience with a variety of automated sensors and vision equipment • Working knowledge of advanced electronics and industrial automation systems • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting • A collaborative and proactive approach to team-based problem-solving • A minimum of 4 years, post-apprenticeship experience is essential.

Although not essential, previous experience with plastics and/or injection moulding processes would be highly advantageous.

Standard hours are Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 + Friday 08:00 - 15:30.
