Intermediate electrical engineers based in Manchester
Role Overview
Seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Intermediate Electrical Engineer, the role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across sectors such as commercial, healthcare, education, and residential. You will collaborate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of electrical or mechanical building services systems.
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Hevacomp).
- Support project delivery from concept through to completion, ensuring compliance with UK building regulations and standards.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Contribute to sustainability and energy efficiency strategies within designs.
- Participate in site visits, surveys, and inspections as required.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- 2–4 years’ experience in a building services consultancy environment.
- Familiarity with relevant design codes and standards (BS, CIBSE, IET).
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and calculation tools.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Working towards professional accreditation (IET, CIBSE) is desirable.
