Are you an experienced electrical professional with a passion for estate development and maintenance? We’re looking for a Programmed Maintenance Officer (Electrical) to join a dynamic team responsible for the design, development, and delivery of electrical maintenance and construction projects across a diverse estate.
About the Role
As the electrical subject-matter expert, you’ll lead on the design and project management of both planned and reactive maintenance programmes, as well as capital works up to £1 million. You’ll play a key role in shaping the estate’s infrastructure, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical maintenance and construction projects.
- Conduct condition surveys and diagnose electrical issues across the estate.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Manage contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure timely and compliant project delivery.
- Monitor budgets and performance metrics, ensuring value for money and environmental sustainability.
- Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety legislation and statutory testing requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree or HNC/NVQ Level 4 in a relevant building services or electrical discipline.
- Full membership of a recognised professional body (e.g., CIBSE, IWFM, RICS, CIAT, CIOB, RIBA).
- Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in property maintenance or facilities management.
- Strong project management skills with experience delivering schemes from inception to completion.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to produce and interpret technical drawings.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
