Are you a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher looking for your next permanent opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Science to join a supportive secondary school in Newcastle from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for both Early Career Teachers and experienced practitioners who are committed to delivering engaging and high-quality Science lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential. The Role As a Teacher of Science, you will be responsible for delivering an engaging and challenging curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience and specialism. You will join a successful and collaborative Science department, working closely with colleagues to drive achievement and foster a love of learning amongst students.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge learners
✅ Monitor, assess and record student progress effectively
✅ Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
✅ Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
✅ Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement
✅ Engage fully in the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and parents' evenings
✅ Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student outcomes and wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Ability to teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science education
Excellent classroom management skills
A commitment to raising attainment and supporting student progress
Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged
