Design Technology Technician Job Available at Secondary School in Bolton

A Secondary School in Bolton is seeking a proactive and skilled Design Technology Technician to join their vibrant Design & Technology department on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to support creative learning and help students bring their ideas to life in a safe, well-equipped workshop environment.

Location: Bolton
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 32.5 hours per week / Term-time only
Start Date: September

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for practical lessons.
  • Support students and staff during lessons, including demonstrations and supervision.
  • Maintain machinery and tools, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage stock levels and assist with ordering supplies.
  • Contribute to the development of engaging displays and resources.

Key Skills/Experience:
  • Practical experience in a workshop or technical environment.
  • Experience working within a school environment.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
