Your new school

Are you a passionate and skilled Design Technology teacher looking for a rewarding short-term opportunity? Hays Education is proud to be working in partnership with a highly respected and successful secondary school in Sefton, renowned for its commitment to academic excellence and student development.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Teacher of Design Technology with a specialism in Resistant Materials to join their dynamic department. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a thriving school community and inspire students across Key Stage 3, with the potential to teach up to Key Stage 5 depending on experience.


Your new role

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Resistant Materials
  • Teach across KS3, with the possibility of KS4 and KS5
  • Support students in developing practical skills and theoretical understanding
  • Contribute to the wider DT department and school ethos


What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Specialism in Resistant Materials

  • Experience teaching DT at KS3 (KS4/KS5 desirable)

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to student success
